Coaches and club officials at Salle Ursa

Salle Ursa is lead by the Head Coach and President Peter Rome. He has been a qualified coach for over 10 years and recently completed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. Peter has trained a number of cadet and junior fencers up to international level to compete at World Championships for Great Britain, Ireland and Wales. He is a dedicated fencing coach, aiming to help all his students to reach their full potential, let them be international competitors or hobby fencers. He teaches all the three fencing weapons: sabre, foil and epee.
Peter is also the appointed Coach Educator in the West Midlands. If you are interested in becoming a fencing coach, please look for new information about coaching courses under the link 'For coaches' on our website, or contact Peter via e-mail at coach@salleursafencing.co.uk.

Daniel Perry is the club's Treasurer. He is the club's Assistant Coach, working with guidance from Peter Rome. He specialises in sabre, but can teach foil and epee as well. He actively competes. One of his great results: GOLD medallist as part of the Welsh team at the 2006 Commonwealth Fencing Championships.
